Two settings layers

Aiola splits settings into:
  • Central settings for app-wide behavior
  • Project settings for one workspace only
That separation matters because analytics, feedback, API keys, Git, MCP, and environment files are all project-specific, while timezone and provider availability are global.

Central settings

Central settings cover app-wide preferences such as:
  • your account and subscription
  • send-message behavior
  • default open destination
  • whether the legacy Plan mode toggle and command are available
  • timezone
  • completion notifications: always, only when Aiola is unfocused, or never
  • permission alerts
  • provider availability and ordering
  • appearance
  • keybinds
  • usage
  • mobile Connections
The Connections page handles mobile pairing and is currently available on macOS. A Backend page also appears for eligible lifetime/BYOD accounts so they can configure an owned backend. Timezone is especially important because Aiola reuses it across analytics, calendar views, and scheduling.

Project settings

Each workspace has its own settings area. Current project settings include:
  • General for project name, workspace location, workspace logo, default agent, provider, model, reasoning, context window, permission mode, and model-dependent Fast Mode
  • API Key for the project key used by Feedback, App Logs, and related integrations
  • App Logs
  • Analytics
  • Integrations
  • Environment Variables
  • Git
  • MCP Servers
  • Instructions
  • Tasks
  • Archived Threads

Workspace deletion

Deleting a workspace always removes its Aiola registration and sidebar entry, workspace settings, agents, thread and session history, and worktrees. It does not remove the actual project folder by default. The confirmation dialog provides separate choices to remove the project’s aiola/ folder and to delete each available hosted dataset:
  • analytics
  • feedback
  • app logs
  • API keys
  • sourcemaps
Review those options carefully before deleting a workspace.

Delete your account

Open Central Settings → General → Danger zone to permanently delete your account and hosted Aiola data. The deletion removes:
  • analytics sites, analytics events, crawler history, monthly usage data, saved funnels, and segments
  • Search Console, Bing, and per-site Stripe integrations
  • app logs, API keys, feedback attachments, sourcemaps, and sourcemap metadata
  • cloud feedback, task links, and automatic-task settings
  • subscription history, billing or lifetime-license access, profile and onboarding data, email contact, and the authentication account
Local workspace files on the computer are kept, including project files, local tasks, and automation files. Lifetime license removal does not issue a refund.
A paid subscription must be canceled in Billing and allowed to end before account deletion. Active, trialing, past-due, unpaid, paused, or incomplete billing states block the request. Deletion is also blocked when Aiola cannot verify the billing profile or status.
To confirm deletion, review the data list, type DELETE exactly, select I understand this is permanent, and wait for the three-second countdown to finish. Once deletion starts, it cannot be canceled. Use Central settings when you want Aiola itself to behave differently. Use Project settings when you want one product or repository to behave differently from another.
