Shortcut categories

Aiola groups configurable shortcuts by purpose:
  • Navigation — search, sidebar visibility, back and forward, Settings, and Central
  • Threads — create a thread, open a system-wide draft popout, and cycle through threads
  • Panels — toggle panels, terminals, browsers, files, Quick Note, and thread popouts
  • Git — open the diff, commit and push, or create a pull request
  • Workspace shortcuts — switch directly to any open workspace
Workspace rows appear only while workspaces are open.

Record an override

Choose an action

Click its current shortcut or Set shortcut.

Press the new keys

Modifier-only presses are ignored. Press Escape to cancel recording.

Resolve any conflict

If another action already owns the combination, Aiola marks both actions. Clear or change the existing shortcut before the pending combination can be saved.
Default shortcuts appear in muted text. An override appears as the active combination.

Reset or remove a shortcut

Use the action beside an overridden combination:
  • If the action has a default, it resets to that default.
  • If the action has no default, it removes the shortcut.
Conflict detection compares the new combination with both default shortcuts and saved overrides. Aiola does not silently replace the action that already uses it.
Shortcut labels adapt to the current platform, so the displayed modifier keys may differ between macOS and Windows.
