Skills are reusable instruction bundles that Aiola discovers from your installed coding providers and the current workspace.

Manage skills

The Skills page lets you browse, search, filter by provider or category, inspect, create, edit, and delete skills. You can also start a chat with a selected skill already attached. Skills for providers that are not installed are hidden.

Where skills are discovered

Aiola combines skills from:
  • Codex global and system skill directories
  • skills included in the Codex plugin cache
  • Claude user plugins and marketplace plugins
  • Grok global skills and bundled CLI skills
  • Antigravity global, built-in, and CLI-native skill directories
  • the OpenCode skill catalog for the current workspace
  • workspace .agents/skills and .claude/skills directories
Duplicate skill IDs are deduplicated according to provider and workspace precedence.

Editing and storage

Created skills are written to the selected provider’s native directory so its CLI can load them. Grok bundled skills and Antigravity CLI-native built-ins are provider-owned and appear as read-only; create a separate editable skill when you need to customize their behavior.
