Appearance and Sidebar Layout

Central Appearance controls app-wide colors and behavior plus the exact composition of both navigation sidebars.

Theme mode

Open Central Settings → Appearance and choose Light, Dark, or System. System follows the operating system while preserving separate light and dark configurations.

Presets and colors

Each visible mode has its own preset, primary color controls, expanded secondary color controls, preview, and Reset. Editing a preset color turns that mode into a custom theme.

Sidebar surface

The sidebar is a flat, opaque surface that uses the theme card color on macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Quick Note is always available. Its complete position set is: Change its shortcut in Keybinds.

Workspace navigation editor

The default sections are Home/Tasks, Monitor (App Logs, Feedback, GitHub, Analytics), and Tools (Notebook, Calendar, Automations, Agents). Project starts in the Settings popover.

Central navigation editor

Central Terminals is opened from the terminal control and is not a registry item.

Edit and reset navigation

Drag destinations within or between sections and the Settings popover. Rename or add sections. Removing a non-empty section appends its items to the section now occupying the removed section’s index, or to the preceding last section when the removed section was last. Reset restores both default layouts. Threads, workspace rail controls, and fixed Settings controls are not draggable destinations.
