# Sign In and Provider Setup

> Complete the account sign-in flow and make sure at least one local model provider is installed on this machine.

## Account setup flow

After the welcome screen, Aiola walks through a short setup flow:

1. sign in with Google or email OTP
2. answer a couple of onboarding questions
3. let Aiola detect installed local providers on the current machine

## Why provider detection matters

Provider detection is machine-specific. Even if your account has already been used elsewhere, Aiola still needs to confirm that this computer has at least one supported provider installed locally.

## What Aiola checks

The setup flow looks for installed providers and whether they are usable on this machine. If no provider is detected, the setup screen stays on the provider step until one is available.

## After setup

Once sign-in and provider detection are complete, Aiola routes you to:

* **Central Home** if you already have a completed workspace
* **Open** if you need to add or adopt a project

## Re-checking providers later

You can manage provider detection and model visibility later from **Central Settings → Providers**.
