# Terminals

> Use Aiola's terminal canvas inside a workspace in split or canvas mode.

## What the Terminals page does

The Terminals page gives the workspace an embedded terminal surface.

## Current modes

The page supports:

* **Split** mode
* **Canvas** mode

## Why it matters

Terminal access is part of the workspace itself, so command execution stays tied to the current project instead of forcing you to switch to an external terminal window.
